This is a boiled, cooked sausage — not smoked. Fine grind, pale pink, small specks of fat, packed in a tight casing so it slices into clean rounds.

It is the simple table sausage. Put it on bread with butter or mustard. Eat it with tea. Fry the slices until the edges brown. Kids know this one. It is closer to bologna than to Krakow or smoked kielbasa.

Fully cooked. Mild. Made to slice.
